"When I picked up Max, I knew absolutely nothing about him except he had been in kennels for 4 months and needed a friend. It turned out Max was a little boy with some special needs - yes I found out the hard way! However, after having him for a few weeks in foster care i realised there was a very loving dog in there that just needed to be treated well in order for his personality to shine.
I was originally going to foster Max for only a short period of time, but as you can see I have 'failed' miserably! - I am very glad we are still together. All dogs that end up in rescue care deserve a second chance of happiness whatever their circumstances. Max just happened to have been owned by people that didnt understand him properly, hence his temperament. I have found that for all his bark and bite Max can love unconditionally and we are both very happy."
